In the first half of 2026, passenger traffic through Georgia's three international airports reached 3.6 million people. This was announced by Levan Moseshvili, General Director of the United Airports of Georgia, noting that the country's aviation market continues to show steady growth.
According to him, interest in Georgia from major airlines is increasing, and the number of direct flights and flight frequency continue to grow. To meet demand, authorities are simultaneously modernizing airport infrastructure, negotiating with new carriers, and expanding the route network.
Moseshvili emphasized that aviation development contributes to the growth of the tourism industry and the country's economy. According to him, investments in airports and the expansion of air travel make Georgia more attractive to foreign tourists, and comfortable travel conditions help increase passenger traffic and encourage guests to return to the country again.
