Georgia's foreign trade turnover in goods for January–June 2026 reached $12.9256 billion, an increase of 5.8% compared to the same period last year. These data are provided by the National Statistics Office of Georgia.
The main growth factor was the increase in exports. In the first six months of the year, Georgian companies supplied goods worth $3.8767 billion abroad, which is 20.1% more than last year's figure.
Imports, meanwhile, grew significantly slower, reaching $9.0488 billion, an increase of only 0.7% over the year. Despite the positive export dynamics, the country's trade balance remains negative.
As of January–June 2026, the foreign trade deficit amounted to $5.1721 billion. This figure corresponds to approximately 40% of Georgia's total foreign trade turnover for the reporting period.
