Georgia's car fleet continues to grow, and its structure shows which brands are most popular among the country's residents. According to the National Statistics Office, as of the end of the first quarter of 2026, 1,942,480 vehicles were registered in Georgia.

Mercedes-Benz remains the leader. There are 230,659 cars of this brand in the country, which corresponds to approximately 12% of the entire car fleet. Thus, almost every eighth car in Georgia has an emblem with a three-pointed star. The high popularity of Mercedes is largely due to the sustained demand for used German cars.

Toyota ranks second with 222,896 vehicles, or 11.5% of the car fleet. The Japanese brand maintains a strong position due to its reliability, affordable maintenance, and low operating costs.

Ford takes third place with 193,737 registered vehicles, accounting for about 10% of all cars in the country.

The most common brands also include VAZ – 152,986 vehicles, Opel – 146,045, BMW – 94,034, Volkswagen – 82,441, Honda – 77,168, Nissan – 74,528, and Mitsubishi – 59,117.

Statistics show that the Georgian market remains predominantly focused on time-tested brands, especially on the used car market.
