In the first five months of 2026, the cargo turnover of Batumi Seaport amounted to 3.4 million tons. According to the management, planned targets were met by 111%, indicating an excess of expected cargo handling volumes.
The work of the Batumi oil terminal is separately noted: during the same period, 619 thousand tons of cargo passed through it, which corresponds to last year's level and indicates stable utilization of the direction.
The port's infrastructure includes 11 berths, a complex for transshipment of liquid cargo, 12 units of marine fleet, and 11 portal cranes, which allows for continuous handling of various types of cargo.
The capacity of the oil and gas terminal is estimated at up to 11 million tons per year. It has 132 tanks with a total volume of more than 585 thousand cubic meters, six railway trestles, and a network of technological pipelines over 86.5 km long.
It is additionally noted that the Batumi terminal remains the only one on the Caucasian Black Sea coast that transships liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
