Starting June 21, Tbilisi's public transport began operating on a summer schedule. This applies to bus routes and minibuses, where the number of trips has been adjusted.
According to the capital's transport company, these changes are introduced annually and are related to a decrease in passenger traffic during the summer. During this season, the load on the city's transport system traditionally decreases.
Under the new schedule, the number of vehicles on routes has been reduced, leading to longer waiting intervals for transport. However, the exact parameters of the schedule changes have not been disclosed.
The summer mode will be in effect until September 15, after which the transport system will return to its standard autumn-winter schedule.
