Trade turnover between Georgia and Armenia in the first four months of 2026 reached $308 million, an increase of 36% year-on-year. Economic ties between the countries continue to strengthen, forming a stable regional channel for the exchange of goods and services.
At the same time, the balance remains in Georgia's favor: exports to Armenia exceed imports by approximately $80 million. However, the dynamics show a gradual change in structure – purchases from Armenia are growing faster than Georgian supplies, which is gradually reducing the current surplus and strengthening the mutual dependence of the economies.
Imports from Armenia reached $114 million and are largely formed by raw materials: copper ores and concentrates, precious ore materials, as well as glass containers and electricity. Exports from Georgia to Armenia amounted to $194 million and are mainly represented by finished products and re-exports – cars, petroleum products, alcohol, machinery, and consumer goods, which emphasizes the country's role as a transit hub in regional trade.
