Car supplies from Georgia to Azerbaijan decreased by almost 49% in the first four months of 2026. A total of about 1.4 thousand cars worth over $50 million were sent to the country, according to Georgian media, citing statistical data.
Despite the sharp decline in figures, Azerbaijan still ranks third among the largest export destinations for the Georgian automotive industry. Overall, the dynamic reflects a general cooling of the re-export segment, which in previous years was one of the key sources of revenue for the industry.
For comparison, last year Georgia exported over 111 thousand cars, generating about $2.8 billion in revenue. The decline in current figures may indicate a redistribution of supply flows and a change in regional demand for used and imported cars.
