Red Wings expands flights to Georgia: Flights to Batumi will be launched from 15 Russian cities

The airline will expand its route network and increase the frequency of flights in the summer season

The Russian airline Red Wings has opened ticket sales for direct flights to Batumi from six cities at once — Tyumen, Saratov, Perm, Volgograd, Orenburg and Chelyabinsk. Flights will be operated from June to October 2026 as part of the summer schedule.

In addition, from June 8, the carrier will resume flights on the Nizhny Novgorod — Batumi route, and will also increase the frequency of flights between Sochi and Batumi in the period from May to September. As a result, the total number of Russian cities from which flights to Georgia are operated will reach 15.

In addition to new destinations, direct flights to Batumi are already available from Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kazan, Samara, Yekaterinburg, Ufa and Krasnodar. Flights to the country are also operated by Azimuth and Georgian Airways.

Direct air service between Russia and Georgia was restored in May 2023 by decision of Vladimir Putin. Today, flights are operated to Tbilisi, Batumi and Kutaisi by airlines that are not subject to Western sanctions.
