Georgian IT sector breaks records

Export revenues exceed $1 billion

In 2025, revenues of the Georgian IT sector from foreign trade reached $1.15 billion, an increase of 67% compared to last year. This growth has made the industry a significant source of foreign currency and one of the drivers of the country's economic growth, which amounted to 28.7%.

The boom in the IT sector is associated with the migration effect: thousands of Russian, Ukrainian, and Belarusian specialists moved to Georgia, registered companies, and provided services on behalf of local entrepreneurs. This led to an increase in employment: if in 2021, 30.6 thousand people worked in the information and communication sector, by 2025, the number had grown to 54.5 thousand.

The average salary in the industry at the end of 2025 was 4,433 GEL — the highest figure among all sectors of the economy. Experts note that the development of IT continues to strengthen Georgia's position in the international services market and attract new specialists.
