Georgia is building a powerful wind farm: 224 MW of energy right in the mountains

The project involves the installation of 28 wind turbines with a capacity of up to 8 MW

Georgia is preparing to launch a major project in the field of "green" energy — a new wind power plant will appear in the Imereti region. The facility will be located near the village of Gogni on a mountain range, where conditions are considered optimal for energy generation.

The project involves the installation of 28 wind turbines with a capacity of up to 8 MW each, which will total 224 MW. The annual output is expected to be between 602 and 668 million kWh, which will significantly increase the share of renewable sources in the country's energy balance.

The project will be implemented by Gogni Wind Company, and a construction permit has already been issued by the relevant environmental agency. The new wind farm will become one of the largest in the country and will strengthen the energy independence of the region.
