Airports Council International has awarded Tbilisi Shota Rustaveli International Airport five European awards based on the results of the ASQ passenger service quality survey. The airport is recognized as the best among hubs with traffic up to 5 million passengers per year based on criteria such as staff orientation, travel convenience, comfort of stay, quality of departure services, and cleanliness.
The ASQ program is considered the only global assessment system that measures passenger satisfaction directly while at the airport. In 2025, the best air harbors were determined in six categories, and Tbilisi Airport received recognition in five of them. Data for the analysis was collected over two years.
The management company TAV Airports, part of the French group Groupe ADP, plans to invest $150 million in infrastructure expansion. By 2028, the throughput capacity should increase to 10 million passengers. The ASQ 2025 awards ceremony will be held on September 2, 2026, in Istanbul.
