SOCAR to Open First Electric Vehicle Charging Station in the South Caucasus

The station is equipped with four charging devices, allowing it to serve six electric vehicles simultaneously

SOCAR is preparing to launch the first fully electric charging station in the South Caucasus, designed exclusively for electric vehicles. This project is seen as a key step in the development of environmentally friendly transport and accelerating the energy transformation of Georgia.

The station is equipped with four charging devices, allowing it to serve six electric vehicles simultaneously. Two of them provide fast charging with a capacity of 120 kW, fully replenishing the energy reserve in four cars in approximately 40 minutes. Two more 22 kW devices are designed for customers who want to spend time in the WAY MART store and cafe with a "plastic-free" concept.

The power plant partially runs on solar energy, which increases the environmental sustainability of the project and demonstrates SOCAR's commitment to the principles of "green" energy. The launch of the station is expected to be an important step in promoting electric vehicles in the region.
