Low-cost carrier T’way Air from the Republic of Korea is launching seasonal service between the capitals of Georgia and South Korea. The Georgian Civil Aviation Agency announced the carrier's plans, confirming the issuance of a permit to operate flights.
The charter program is designed for the summer period: flights will begin on April 24 and will operate until mid-October. The flights will connect Tbilisi and Seoul with direct air service, expanding the geography of long-haul destinations from the Georgian capital.
According to aviation authorities, interest in the route has already been shown previously: last year, passenger traffic between Georgia and South Korea exceeded two thousand people. It is expected that the launch of charters will support tourism exchange and business contacts between the countries.
