From 2026, students from Georgia will be able to receive higher education at universities in the United Arab Emirates at the expense of funding from the Emirates. This was announced by the Ministry of Education of Georgia after a meeting between the head of the department, Givi Mikanadze, and the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the UAE, Abdurrahman Al Awar, in Dubai.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed a new educational project providing for the payment of education for young Georgians in local universities. It is planned that the recruitment of students to participate in the program will start this year.
Details about the selection procedure for participants and the conditions of study have not yet been disclosed. The program will be an important opportunity for young Georgians to expand their educational horizons and gain experience studying abroad.
