Schools in Armenia are preparing rules for the use of mobile phones

To strengthen a safe educational environment

The government has approved an education reform concept that provides for the creation of rules for the use of mobile phones in schools

To improve students' concentration and foster a healthy behavior model, schools will develop clear instructions for the use of mobile devices. The reform concept notes that this will help maintain the continuity of the educational process, reduce the risks of bullying, and strengthen a safe educational environment.

In addition, the program envisages the development of school infrastructure: modern laboratories, sports facilities, libraries, cafeterias, interactive classrooms, and an adapted environment for informal learning.

Teachers will be prepared for effective work with students, and the number of school administrators, psychologists, and social workers will be increased to ensure comprehensive support for the educational process.

"For the purpose of safely ensuring the school environment and preventing injuries, student awareness-raising campaigns will be conducted regularly, teachers will provide more intensive training on identifying the causes of injuries and responding adequately in certain situations. The number of school administrators, psychologists, and social workers will grow, and all schools will be provided with the relevant services," the General Education concept states.
