Azerbaijan and Georgia strengthen railway cooperation for the development of the Middle Corridor

Baku and Tbilisi discussed the prospects for partnership in the railway sector

Azerbaijan and Georgia held talks on cooperation in the field of railway transport, attended by the heads of the national railways and representatives of the economic agencies of both countries. Current contacts and opportunities to expand interaction were discussed.

The parties paid special attention to the development of the Middle Corridor, which plays a key role in regional transport and logistics flows. The sides noted that active cooperation in this area would make it possible to increase transport efficiency and strengthen economic ties between the countries.

Following the meeting, the heads of the railway companies emphasized the importance of the agreement for advancing regional economic cooperation and creating sustainable transport infrastructure capable of supporting the growth of trade and investment in the region.
