National Scooter Federation of Georgia and the Police Introduce Self-Regulation of Sharing Services

The Monitoring Service oversees electric scooters and compliance with the rules

The National Scooter Federation of Georgia has signed an agreement with the Patrol Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country. Since December 2025, the Federation's Monitoring Service has been operating under this agreement, whose main task is to improve road safety, streamline the movement of electric scooters, and take into account the interests of all road users.

The agreement provides for the introduction of self-regulation by companies providing electric scooter sharing services, as well as cooperation with the state on the basis of a "unified position." This will allow coordinating actions and reducing risks when traveling by electric transport.

The Federation thanked the patrol police and sharing companies for supporting the initiative and promised to talk about the specific rules of regulation and areas of responsibility of the new monitoring service in future publications.
