Batumi is renovating railway platforms: almost a million GEL for reconstruction

Two stations in the city are preparing for major repairs

Georgian Railway plans to spend about 1 million GEL on the restoration of passenger platforms at the Green Cape and Botanical Garden stations in Batumi. The work will cover both the platforms themselves and the waiting pavilions, as well as the infrastructure around them.

At the Green Cape station, the reconstruction will cost 393,410 GEL. The project includes dismantling the old low platform, installing a new one with asphalt concrete pavement, restoring the concrete retaining wall and replacing the pedestrian crossing over the tracks. The contractor is the company "Kvadrat". The tender for the work is open from February 12 to 17.

The platform at the Botanical Garden will require 455,664 GEL. Here, the damaged wall will be restored, the waiting pavilion will be repaired, and work will be carried out taking into account the fiber optic cable passing nearby under the supervision of the railway division. Acceptance of applications for this tender is scheduled from February 11 to 16, the warranty for the work will be 10 years.
