Total import value reached $1.36 billion

Supplies of oil and oil products from Azerbaijan to Georgia in 2025 increased by almost 80% in physical terms and by more than half in monetary terms. According to the National Statistics Office of Georgia, the country imported 172,000 tons of Azerbaijani oil and oil products worth $118 million during the year, which is 79% more in volume and 55% more in value compared to 2024.

Thanks to this growth, Azerbaijan ranked 4th among the largest suppliers of oil and oil products to the Georgian market in 2025. The increase in imports reflects the strengthening of energy ties between the countries and the growing role of Azerbaijan as one of the key regional fuel exporters.

Overall, in 2025, Georgia purchased 1.809 million tons of oil and oil products from abroad, which is 4.2% more than the year before. The total import value reached $1.36 billion, adding 13% year-on-year, indicating an increase in both the physical volume of supplies and the price burden on the market.
