Georgia Leads in Freedom from Corruption in Eastern Europe and Central Asia

The country ranks 37th in the world and surpasses all EU candidates

Georgia has become the most corruption-free country among the states of Eastern Europe and Central Asia, ranking 37th among 143 countries worldwide. Ukraine (117th place) and Moldova (108th place) are recognized as less prosperous, Caliber.Az reports with reference to Georgian media.

The Head of the Government Administration, Levan Zhorzholiani, noted that the country is ahead of all EU candidates thanks to the reforms carried out. According to him, it is the changes in the second half of 2025 that lay the foundation for further progress.

Georgia plans to be among the top three countries in Europe in terms of freedom from corruption, counting on the continuation of reforms and strengthening the transparency of public administration.
