Starting January 9, train service in Georgia connecting Tbilisi with cities in the west of the country will resume. Earlier, the routes had been suspended due to adverse weather conditions.
Georgian Railway announced the restoration of service for a number of trains heading west. In particular, trains between Tbilisi and Poti, Zugdidi, and Ozurgeti will run again.
Passengers who purchased tickets for the canceled services will receive a full refund of the fare.
