The traditional Coca-Cola New Year's caravan, which began its journey through Georgia on December 19, was forced to change its route ahead of schedule. The reason was heavy snowfalls and difficult weather conditions, which made further movement unsafe, Coca-Cola Bottlers Georgia said.
According to the organizers, the most difficult situation developed in the western regions of the country. Although the festive event did take place in Kobuleti, the caravan was unable to reach Batumi, as well as a number of settlements in central Georgia, including Khashuri, Gori and Kvemo-Chala.
The company apologized to residents who were waiting for the arrival of the caravan, noting that the decision was made solely for security reasons. Coca-Cola representatives also promised that the festive caravan will travel throughout Georgia again next year.
