Georgia risks being left without internet and TV for the New Year

Energy company declares war on provider

The largest communications operator, Magticom, has accused the distribution company Energo Pro of deliberately creating obstacles that could leave thousands of residents in the regions without television and internet during the holidays.

In a joint statement, Magticom and its subsidiary Delta Comm stated that they legally use Energo Pro's power transmission poles to provide services, paying for it regularly under the agreement. However, in the run-up to the New Year, the energy company introduced strict restrictions: first, it prohibited connecting new subscribers, and then made it impossible to access the poles even to repair existing damage. As a result, technicians simply cannot reach the equipment to fix malfunctions or connect customers.

The company directly accuses Energo Pro of artificially fueling public discontent precisely during the holidays in order to create negativity around the provider. Magticom called on the energy companies to reconsider and not deprive people of internet and television for the New Year. There has been no response from Energo Pro yet.
