Georgia Enters Top Tier in Europe for Education and Healthcare Efficiency

The country has surpassed a number of economic giants

Georgia has emerged as one of the leaders in Europe in terms of the efficiency of public spending on education and healthcare. This was announced by the ruling "Georgian Dream" party, citing the latest ranking from the Chandler Institute, which assesses how successfully budget investments translate into real social outcomes.

According to the study, Georgia ranked 36th in the world and 14th among European countries. It managed to outpace a number of G7 countries, as well as individual members of the EU and NATO. Experts analyzed not absolute spending, but their return—the quality of medical services and the effectiveness of the education system in relation to the amount of funding.

The authors of the ranking note that the key factor was the rational allocation of resources and focus on practical results. For Georgia, this means strengthening its position on the international stage and providing an additional argument in favor of the chosen socio-economic model, where the size of the budget is not as important as its real benefit to citizens.
