The share of electric vehicles among registered cars in Georgia has reached 4.8%. This is stated in the car market review prepared by TBC Capital. In the first 9 months of 2025, 5255 electric vehicles were imported into the country, compared to 2900 units in the same period of 2024, or 3.2% of the total number of registrations.

It is noteworthy that the result of January-September 2025 has already exceeded the entire volume of registrations for 2024, when 4225 electric vehicles were registered in Georgia. For comparison, in 2023 this figure was 1886 cars, in 2022 - 955, and in 2020-2021 the market remained at the level of about 300-340 units per year.

The main source of electric vehicles for the Georgian market in 2025 was the USA - they accounted for 55% of all registrations. This is followed by Japan with a share of 15%, China - 14% and Germany - 11%. Another 5% of electric vehicles were imported from other countries, which indicates the ongoing diversification of supplies.
